Field-based photography, guiding and science communication from the Arctic

Laia Soler is based in Svalbard, working across Arctic and remote environments throughout much of the year. Her work is grounded in time spent in the field across land, sea and ice, in conditions that demand patience, preparation and restraint.

Her photography is informed by extended observation of wildlife, weather patterns, and landscape processes, with a focus on how the Arctic functions and how people move through it responsibly.

Working across photography, guiding, and science communication, she combines field experience with visual storytelling to explore relationships between wildlife, people and the environment.
