SCIENCE COMMUNICATION & EDUCATION
Translating scientific work into visual narratives grounded in field practice, observation and context.
Scientific work often unfolds far from public view. My role is to help translate that work into visual and narrative forms that remain accurate, grounded and accessible without oversimplifying complexity.
I work in the field alongside researchers, contributing to both documentation and logistical flow, rather than operating as an external observer.
With a background in biology and biotechnology and extensive field experience, I collaborate with research groups and institutions to document scientific processes in the environments where they take place. This may involve working alongside researchers in the field, in laboratories, onboard vessels or across longer research campaigns.
I am particularly interested in projects that explore how ecosystems function, how data is gathered and how environmental change is observed over time. Visual work is developed in close dialogue with researchers, ensuring that imagery and storytelling reflect both the science and the context in which it exists.
This collaboration style values time, trust and continuity. Some projects result in outreach imagery or educational materials. Others evolve into longer-term visual archives that support talks, publications or public engagement initiatives.
This work is suited for:
• Research groups and academic institutions
• Universities and educational programmes
• Science outreach and public engagement initiatives
